About Ergodata

Ergodata AB was founded in 1976 by Håkan Edler from Chalmers University of Technology, who realized the need for extensive knowledge in the area of databases. Companies were in dire need of good software and database systems but did not know how it would be done. Since then, Ergodata AB followed developments in the computer industry and has built up extensive expertise in the field.

Company Methodology

The Sheet Bend

The Sheet Bend  is used to merge ropes of various materials and thicknesses. For us it symbolizes the importance of using the investments made, the benefits of getting different computer systems to interact and our desire to help our customers achieve maximum benefits for new investments.

Mixing Old and New

Many customers doesn’t need new systems, simply more efficient access to the information they already have. With our experience we help our customers to get new functionality in existing systems through further development or through connections to new systems.

High Performance System Development

Our job is to make information available. We know how to build new systems, combine older and newer systems and develop older systems. Many customers do not need newer systems, merely a more efficient access to the information they already have. We can, with our experience, help our customers to build new functionalities in existing systems through development or through links to new systems. We sometimes point out that is better to rebuild completely some systems. We help our customers to make decisions about what kind of system they need and how the transition should be planned.

Our proficiency in system development is all-embracing: programming, system design, testing, documentation, installation, training, as well as feasibility studies. Since we usually have long-term relationships with our customers, we also offer system management services. The solution is not always another form of data system. You sometimes need qualified people. We provide this kind of competency to our clients. We guarantee the availability of a particular expertise and experience – not a particular person. This places great demands on training and knowledge transfer.
